This website serves to keep groundwater users and other interested parties informed of, and involved in, the progress of a multi-agency effort focused on of the Fresno-region of Fresno County to develop a Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) pursuant to state Legislation passed in 2014.
This legislation – the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act of 2014 – requires certain regions in California to develop and implement a plan that sustainably manages the shared groundwater resources for the benefit of communities, agriculture and the environment. The North Kings GSA is one of six agencies formed in the Kings Subbasin, a region that overlies portions of Fresno, Tulare and Kings counties. The North Kings GSA is led by a seven member Board of Directors selected from among the agency’s members.
